About Companion Critters, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Companion Critters, Inc., a 501(c)(3), non-profit New Jersey corporation, was founded on September 17, 2000 to help the animals on death row in shelters and pounds. To date, over 600 homeless pets have been saved.

All pets adopted from Companion Critters will be spayed or neutered before they are released to new homes. All of our adoptable animals are fostered in private homes, given medical care and are evaluated for their behaviors.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have scheduled adoptions days during the year at Pet Valu in Garwood, New Jersey.
If you would like to know when our next adoption event is or you see a pet you are interested in prior to the scheduled adoption events, please contact us via email.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE PET VALU STORE FOR MORE INFORMATION! Pet Valu graciously allows us to use their space to hold adoption events and we do not want to burden their staff with inquiries intended for us.. They have no information on any of the animals we have for adoption. Please email us with any questions you might have or for an application. Our email address is located to the right in the Contact Info box.
We recommend you send us your application in advance as we do not release animals at our adoption events unless we have your approved application on file and such arrangements have been made.

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting a pet, please email us so we can send you an application to complete. Our email address can be found to the right in the Contact Info Box. Please include the name of the pet you are interested in the body of your email. If you want more information on a pet, please e-mail specific questions as we need to know what type of information you require in order to respond effectively. After we have processed your application, we will contact you to make an appointment to meet the pet. The entire procedure is done very quickly if you provide accurate and complete information. We regret that we are not able to accept incomplete applications where all questions have not been answered.
