Meet Cupcake! Aptly named, this Sharpei/Basset Hound mix is one sweet girl and is looking for a forever family to call her own. Around 7 years old and 30 lbs., Cupcake is a classic charmer, a quintessential dog, proof positive of her species’ place as man’s best friend. She is a laid back gal who is loving life in her foster home. Cupcake goes gaga over the company of people, and can’t get enough hugs, belly rubs, and butt scratches. In fact, she has been known to sneakily slip her head under your hand when you are not paying attention, in a feeble attempt to force a head scratch. And it works every time! This beautiful girl is both strong and sensitive – what a great combination! And with such brains and beauty, how could anyone resist that face? Cupcake enjoys the company of other mellow dogs and would be happy to share her new home with a canine sibling or two. However, no kitties for this girl. Her hound instinct kicks in and she wants to chase them a little too much!
You may notice that Cupcake has a unique smile. Our sweet girl recently underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her upper lip. Her prognosis is very good and a daily histamine supplement will help to prevent any further tumors. We know that these issues will make it more difficult for Cupcake to find her happy ending. However, we are hopeful that there is a loving family out there that will see her charming little smirk and soft beagle eyes and fall madly in love! She promises to return the love for years to come!
