Jodi's Story...
Name: Jodi
Breed: Dachshund mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Female

Jodi is a 28lbs Dachsund who is just a love. She enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes and can hold her own fantastically with the big dogs. She adores people and does great with the foster homes 5 and 11 year old kids. She loves to go on walks, play with her foster dog brother, chew on bones, go on car rides and eat! She settles nicely after play and will ask to lay in your lap and fall asleep. She sleeps in her crate at night but would much rather sleep in the bed at night under the covers with you. She will protest when put in the crate during the day but does settle down as well. She does have some training and will do just about anything for a treat. Jodi is potty trained and she loves to chew so she is supervised and her foster makes sure she has the appropriate chew toys. Cats are a little too fun to chase so no cats. Jodi was loved by a little girl her whole life but sadly had to be given up by no fault of Jodi's. The letter the girl sent with Jodi will break your heart. We want to find a special home for this fun girl who will adore her spunkiness and love for life.

Requirements: No cats and no shared walls

You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jodi, a Minneapolis Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
