Facts about Nala

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With White
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Nala is a 1.5 year old female German Shepard mix, weighing approximately 45lbs. She's a sweet girl who craves the attention of people and loves to play ball. If you're looking for a baseball retriever or simply want a dog to help you improve your throwing skills, she just might be your girl!

Nala is good with other dogs but would do best in a home with a male dog as she is a more dominant female personality. She enjoys young people but prefers them to be more mature so kids above the age of 10 are recommended.

Nala has a strong desire to learn but can be stubborn and will need a breed experienced owner to help guide and teach her. Nala does not like cats, she thinks they are balls to be retrieved so please no households with cats or other small critters.

She is spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.

About Forever Home Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs visit our vet for a health screening, are spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations.

Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.

We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month.

Interested? Send us an email at and we'll send you a foster application. It's lots of fun and you will meet lots of dogs and other people who love dogs.
