My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Initial Bio 1-21-16 Our newest senior baby has arrived. He is Rudy, our 12 year old, 11 pound yorkie or maybe Yorkie Mix, we are not sure. Rudy is being fostered in Ft. Myers, FL.

Rudy just arrived at his new foster home and he is so happy to be there. Rudy's former owners had him for a long time, but then their circumstances changed. They moved from a house into an apartment and their new jobs required a lot of travel. Rudy found himself being boarded at the kennel for weeks at a time. This once calm, loving dog started to become anxious and depressed. He started to have accidents in the house when he was home. He was so sad he wasn't eating and he lost weight. He was so unhappy and his owners knew that Rudy needed to be in a home with someone home to give him the love and care this sweet, loving older fellow needed.

Rudy has only been in his foster home for a day and already his foster mom has seen him start to relax. He has not had a single accident in the house, and he is getting along just great with his new foster brother. In less than 24 hours he is becoming a happy, contented dog. No more kennels for this boy.

Don't let Rudy's age scare you away. He is a healthy fellow and has many good years left. He just needs someone to give this boy the security and love for whatever time he has left, and that could be many years.

Rudy is seeing the vet today for a check up, but he is already neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. Rudy may need a little weight on him, which will come now that he is eating again, and then he is ready for his forever home. Please be Rudy's forever family. He will be so incredibly grateful to spend the rest of his life with you.
