Hi! My name is Roxie and I’m a 4 year old 40lb petite Rottie mix that is looking for my fur-ever home! I walk well on a leash, get along well with cats (I have 2 kitty sisters) and other dogs, and I’m crate trained although I don’t use one now. My foster family has a bed for me in the living room and I am content to hang out there most of the time.
No one really knows about my past, but my foster humans are sure that I wasn’t given the love and attention I deserved. They think I was most likely abused and neglected before coming to live with them. Because of my past, I am very shy and a fearful of new surroundings and need a patient person that will give me time to adjust to new people and situations.
Don’t think that just because I’m slow to warm to new situations means that I don’t want to get out and about!  My foster mom has been taking me on car rides, shopping trips to Pet Co, and on walks in the park! At first, I was scared of the car rides. Now, I like to sit up and look out of the windows. I am even getting close to sticking my head out of the window!  I’m still a bit nervous when we go on outings, but I’m starting to realize that going out equals a fun time.  I really like this place called Starbucks- have you heard of it? They give me something called a Pup Cup that is the best thing ever!
I will need to have a calm home because I get nervous with a lot of noise and activity. So, preferably a home with either no children or older ones. I am quiet, low key and gentle when taking a treat. I am a girl that likes her privacy when eating my meals, so don’t be surprised if I don’t chow down while you are around.  I will make a great companion and I hope to find my forever family soon! If you think you want to be my human, please fill out an application and I look forward to meeting you!

About Southern States Rescued Rottweilers

About Our Rescue Group...

Southern States Rescued Rottweilers, Inc. is dedicated to saving the lives of Rottweilers throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and the Virginia. We could not fulfill that mission without the efforts of our hard working volunteers.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Even though some of our dogs may be listed in White Hall, AR they are not necessarily fostered there. Please contact us directly at for any information on one of our Available Rottweilers.

Our Adoption Process...

We try and match up dogs with the best possible living environment for everyone involved. Some dogs need to be in homes with no children, no cats and/or other dogs - and some dogs LOVE children, cats, and/or other dogs! We want to make sure that everyone in the family is happy! Adoption requires that an application be completed and a home visit performed. Three (3) personal references and a vet reference are required - these will be checked! If approved, a tax-deductible donation to Southern States Rescued Rottweilers is required upon taking possession of the dog. We also require that a contract be signed - that states, among other things, that if you are unhappy with your dog that you will return him/her to us, that you will provide needed veterinary care, that you will provide adequate food, etc.
