Ace's Story...
Ace made it from the local kill shelters put down list into their adoption facility.... Ace is a mouth dog and everything goes into his mouth,,,,,including your hands. He was out of the kennel on a preview and he did his hand in his mouth routine and the people said he bit them. The skin was not broken - but he had to spend the next 2 weeks in the bite ward and faced euthanasia when that time was up. The local shelter employees begged for us to take him and we did.... Ace was very very skinny and emaciated when he was picked up as a stray by Animal Control. Even after his time in that facility - he came to us very skinny. He is eating like a horse and is settling in. Ace has to be around 1 to 11/2 yrs old. He has a lot of puppy in him still. Ace is too smart for his own good... he know all kinds of commands and does them with exuberance. He would be a great therapy dog if someone would take the time to work with him. He gets along with other dogs great and loves people

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ace, a San Antonio Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
