Galaxy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Galaxy's Story...

Hi, I'm Galaxy, and I love to play in the water and chase things!

My estimated birthday is Feb 06, and I weigh about 80 lbs.

I was rescued from neglect and abandonment by a kind lady that unfortunately failed to have me spayed before I became pregnant by the neighbor's English Mastiff.  All my pups are gone and I've been spayed now, so I'm ready for my forever home!

I was reported to be a Maremma mountain dog by my previous owners and and certainly could be according to the breed standard. I am a beautiful girl and look almost like a large golden and have a lab type disposition.

I am a digger, though (that's why the family that originally rescued me couldn't keep me), so my forever home will need to walk me on a leash or always stay with me when I'm outside unless they have dig proof fencing.

Oh, and the family that first rescued me had a grandson that I just LOVED to play with :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Galaxy, a San Antonio Maremma Sheepdog/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maremma Sheepdog/Golden Retriever for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Maremma Sheepdog/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maremma Sheepdog/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Maremma Sheepdog/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
