They say I’m young and I don’t know…
We won’t find out until my forever home.
Well, I don’t know if all that’s true,
‘Cause if you adopt me, then baby I got you!

Adopt Me Babe!
Adopt Me Babe!

They say adoption fees won’t pay the rent
Before it’s earned, my love has all been spent.
I guess so, I don’t have a lot
But at least I’m sure of all the love I’ve got!

Cher is a one year old boxer mix. She is house trained, crate trained (will go on the "bed" command), knows sit, heel, auto sit, shake, down, and sit from down. Cher is super smart, because, when she came back to us, she was not trained. Cher is still very much a puppy and loves to play and romp through the yard. She actually hops and lopes instead of a true run. (Very adorable). Cher is a medium to high energy dog, who will need plenty of exercise. One to two walks daily or a fenced in backyard to play in. You will also want to provide plenty of chew toys. She will then spend the evening in your lap, as she thinks she is a small lap pup and truly adores her people. Cher has been professionally trained, so is very easy to walk on a leash. Cher's only true downfall is that, she does not do well with other animals. We are not sure why, because she used to do great with our residents, but she is fear aggressive now and needs to be an only dog. However, she has been trained to stay at heel, should another dog walk by her. It is possible with slow intros, patience and love, Cher might be able to eventually overcome this, and have one other dog in the house, but for now, it would be best if she is an only pet. Cher would love to find her true furever home soon and will provide you with years of fun, playfulness, laughs and love.

All SAAP dogs and puppies are vet checked, UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and given flea and heartworm preventatives as age appropriate.

About Stray Animal Adoption Program

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.

Our Adoption Process...

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.
