My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Barney is one of five puppies in the Flintstone litter. They were estimated to be 10 weeks old as of 1/15/16. Before being picked up by animal control and coming to Saving Grace, they were unwanted and unloved, living in poor conditions. Now they are in a foster home, learning how to be fun-loving puppies. They are experiencing dog toys, bones, and snuggles for the first time. They are still a little scared and unsure of people but are learning to trust a little more each day. They do not like the vacuum cleaner or loud noises. We believe these pups are going to be LARGE dogs, so you will need to be prepared to care for a large breed dog and understand that means increased costs for everything from dog food to vet care. A fenced yard will be best for these dogs. If you are interested in any of the Flintstone litter puppies, please read the information below and follow these guidelines.

1. Please visit our website at www.savinggraceanimalrescuemd.com and read through each section under the “ADOPT” tab. It is here that you will find answers to many questions regarding the adoption process, as well as the adoption application. Please have all necessary information ready when completing the application in order to thoroughly complete it. Incomplete / Incorrect applications will not be processed.

2. Once the application has been submitted, please allow 7-10 days for an application processor to contact you.

3. Any information that we have on our dogs is listed in the description. We are unable to answer emails that ask for more information.

4. If a dog is listed on Adopt-a-Pet it has not yet been officially adopted or gone to its forever home. Emails received asking us if a dog is still available will not be answered unless an application has been submitted and an application processor has contacted you.

5. Approved applicants will have a Home Visit. Only once the Home Visit is completed and approved, applicants will be scheduled to meet the puppies on a date to be determined. Applicants will receive an appointment time on the meeting day, at which time they will be able to meet and interact with the puppies. We ask applicants to meet all of the puppies in order to see their different personalities. We want adopters to make a connection with the dog and choose based on personality instead of just a cute photo.
