found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
This sweet boy is quietly affectionate with a subtle purr. He doesn't mind being picked up and held, and usually will try to climb higher onto your shoulder. He enjoys being groomed daily with a very soft bristle brush. Though he is more on the reserved and quiet side, when he "talks" it is with a chirping or cooing sound. In his foster home, he slept at the foot of the bed all night with his foster mom.
His meal preferences are for wet food that is smooth or very minced in texture, and juicy. He doesn't care for the flavors with chunks of meat, rather he likes Fancy Feast Classic and Friskies pate'. He eats delicately and is accustomed to being fed wet food at least twice a day, but will happily accept a snack of wet food mid-day as well. He has full-time access to graze on kibble and has been eating both Purina Cat Chow and Purina Naturals dry food. He uses an upright scratching post (preferably with sisal rope) and likes to have a carpeted cat tower to climb onto and survey his territory.
Colorado was a stray that 4Paws rescued from a Maryland shelter, so we did not know his history with other cats. In his foster home he was so laid-back and mellow that he was introduced to the resident cats. He was not bothered at all by learning there were other cats in the house and he proceeded to investigate the home, with foster mom's supervision, and within a short period became integrated with the other cats. He will be fine in an adoptive home with cats that are just as easy-going as he is, but proper introductions still must be made. Helpful guidelines for the process of introducing cats are posted on our website.
Colorado was born approximately December 2013. He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, is current on his vaccinations, and has been micro-chipped.
