My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eddie! He is a happy go lucky two and a half year old retriever mix.

He is very friendly with dogs and humans alike. Eddie enjoys playing with his foster sister and following her everywhere. His foster brother is quite a crabby old man and prefers to be left alone - and Eddie respects that. Eddie would do great in a home with dogs or as an only dog.

He is housetrained and knows basic commands. He is great in a kennel or with free roam of the house. His favorite past times are prancing around with soft toys and lying next to you on the couch. He enjoys car rides and has been on several road trips around Colorado with no problem.

After undergoing a MRI and spinal tab Eddie was diagnosed as having had distemper as a puppy. Eddie's neurologist stated he has a stable nervous system. No progressive disease that will come up in the future. He will just be the way he is and will make a nice family companion. Everyone at VRCC fell in love with Eddie during his visits there. Eddie walks a little clumsy. He gets up on couch just fine but he has a quirky gate.
