Marvin's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Marvin's Story...
Marvin was dropped off at the end of our road in 2014. Marvin's estimated date of birth is 01/01/2013. Marvin loves attention and will rub on you to show his love in return. He is very laid back but boy does he love his treats. Marvin is in excellent health, but has FIV. He should go to either a home without other cats or a home with only FIV positive cats. Marvin shows no clinical signs and should live a full and happy life. He came to us ear- tipped so he may have been someone’s cat and been vaccinated for FIV at one point. He’s a very sweet boy who has never met a stranger.

The first step to adopting any feline is to fill out an application at http://acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt/cat-adoption/application/

All of ours cats have been Feline leukemia and feline aids tested negative, spayed or neutered, vaccinated with FVRCP and FELV, rabies vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. This cat has an adoption fee that has been waived because it is over 3 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marvin, a Carencro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carencro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carencro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carencro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carencro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carencro paves the way for another one to be saved.
