Some family is going to be incredibly lucky to share their lives with Cookie. We certainly feel thankful for the time that we've spent with him since he has been a part of the Ruff Start Happy Tails crew. Initially given as gift to the child in his former family, Cookie received very little love and attention once the novelty of owning a puppy wore off and as a result, he spent the majority of his life in a crate. Eventually, his family surrendered our 3 year old, 8lb. Yorkie boy to a shelter in the hopes of giving him a better life. Luckily, Cookie never made it past the lobby as his amazing foster mom intervened and took him home. While he was initially very shy with people, Cook has made huge strides and has become quite the socialized, affectionate pup. This little man loves the company of other dogs and while he can sometimes be a bit of a bossy beazus with other dogs when it comes to sharing his foster mom's lap, ultimately, he befriends dogs both large and small. If he's not exploring the yard or playing chase with his canine foster siblings, Cookie loves to be carried around, cuddled or perched on the back of the couch. Cookie is crate trained but completely trustworthy with full run of the house and is still perfecting his housebreaking skills. He is also neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
