Asher's Story...
The name Asher means happy and it's a perfect name for me. I'm a 10-month old 49 pound lab mix and an all around happy guy who loves to love and be loved. Since I had a bit of a rough start in life, I am working on my confidence every day. I'm an eager learner so learning new things is one way my foster family is helping me boost my confidence. I need my forever family to keep this up so I can go from a shy guy to the confident love bug I know I can be. I am potty trained and a rock star (in a good way!) in my crate. I would love a fenced in yard so I can get those puppy zoomies out when I need to. I love kids, dogs, and even cats! I will be up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered before I am adopted. My adoption fee is just $200. Email rescueofhope@gmail.com for an application for me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Asher, a Grand Rapids Labrador Retriever/Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Greyhound for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Greyhound dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Greyhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
