Missy's Story...
Meet Missy! Missy is a 2 year old 4.5 pound Chihuahua. Missy was found as a stray and was brought to the high kill shelter. Owners were contacted but the owner did not have time to go get her, so there she sat on death row. Missy was put on death row because she was severely neglected. She is very skinny, but with plenty of food, she will get to a healthy weight. She gets along well with other dogs her size. She is a little afraid of dogs bigger than her. Missy is not completely potty trained yet. She is doing really well with it though. As long as you keep up with the training, she will be fine within time. Missy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all of her vaccines. If you would like to open your home and your heart to Missy, contact her foster mom, Amy at 702-768-5856 or complete an interest application at www.ahome4spot.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Las Vegas Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
