Micky was adopted as a kitten and had a loving home for 5 years.  Sadly, his owner died and his family thought it perfectly okay to put Micky in the street to fend for himself.  Thankfully a neighbor starting feeding him and after searching several months found our group to help assist in finding him a home.  Micky is now safe and off the street but is living in a cage because we do not have a foster home for him.  Micky's owner didn't have visitors so he is very timid of strangers but we've found that once he knows and trusts you he will warm up to you and will want attention and affection.  The home he's in is very temporary...they can only keep him for about a week or two and then we have no place for him to go.  He cannot go to the shelter because he will be in a state of panic and will not be adopted and as a result might be euthanized.  PLEASE consider adopting this boy and giving him the loving home he once had or please consider fostering him.  Micky is neutered, blood tested negative for leukemia and aids and is up to date on his vaccines and likes other cats.  Please call 845-356-0958.  If unavailable please leave a message.
