Bowie's Story...
“I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.” – David Bowie
Hi my name is Bowie. I am an adorable little 1 year old boy whose time was up at MCACC. Fearful they said – hahaha! I am still very much a puppy so watch when I get that gleam in my eye. When I can sit still though, I love to lay on laps. I weigh about 10lbs and love to play so much that I’ll play with my foster mom’s 50lb dog as well as the little kitten. I’ve tried the adult cats but they don’t want to play with me. I really want someone to play with. I miss the little girl who used to live here.
I am still working on getting housebroken but do pretty well when someone can keep up with letting me in and out. I have to tell you I love to go outside! I walk well on a harness as well. I like to chew things – Nylabones, toys, paper, even hands but I’m learning that is not a good thing to do. I have been good with the furniture though. I am an overall happy guy and although I can be shy, I like everyone. I am also very smart and am learning to sit. I have been neutered, microchipped and am up to date with my shots. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowie, a Mesa Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
