Jake's Story...
Sweet Jake needs a hero

Jake is a Blue Heeler/Dalmation Mix. He was born August 1, 2010. He was abandoned and hit by a car. Thanks to the kindness of strangers this big boy survived his scary day and now deserves a family to cherish him and take care of him. He has possible abuse in his background. Even with all he’s been through, he’s a big hug of sweetnessHe’s approximately 65lbs & highly intelligent. He LOVES to play with other doggies and he’s super with small dogs. He would like a home that can understand his size and energy. All he asks for is a bunch of love and some exercise every day. He would be an excellent jogging buddy. Good boy Jake! ☺

Because Jake has had a rough background, he gets a little scared when left alone. Therefore, he needs a home that can understand him and commit to him 100% as he will do for his family.

A training class is included in Jake’s adoption fee thanks to Diana Smith of Hearts and Paws. Yay Jake!!

You can see video of this handsome boy here:http://tinyurl.com/rescuejake & more pictures of Jake here: http://www.pawsitively.org/adoption- Contact Judy jud.ford@apple.com for more information & to meet Mr Wonderful Jake!!

Jake had the privilege of spending 8 weeks at Hearts and Paws for training and evaluation. He had an excellent report card.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Cedar Creek Cattle Dog/Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog/Dalmatian for sale in Cedar Creek, or seeking a Cattle Dog/Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Cedar Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog/Dalmatian breeders who help with Cattle Dog/Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
