Here's what the humans have to say about me:
April is a mellow, low maintenance kitty. She is kind and gentle and is a major purring machine. If you want a kitty to play with toys, etc, she is not going to be that cat. She is a super mellow lap cat. April would be great in small spaces like a studio, and does very well on her own if you have long hours at work. However, she also loves company and would enjoy it 24/7, ie: a retired person. April is an incredibly polite kitty. If you work from home she will not disturb you, jump on your paperwork, meow, etc. She’s not going to be head-butting you at 5am for food. She simply sits patiently for your love. She is sweet with other cats, too. She is a GREAT cat.
April is being re-homed because her former home was a very hectic household and wasn’t a good fit for her (construction, parties, etc). A calmer household is better for her, although she does love kids and is not skittish at all. Her generous family has provided a long term fund to Kitty Charm School, to help with any medical needs, a pet deposit for renters, etc- whatever is needed. They want her in the greatest possible home, which is why they have enabled (funded) KCS to cast a wider net.
If her new home does not need help, this fund will be used for other rescues at Kitty Charm School. April comes with lifetime pet’s health insurance, thanks to her former family who wants to assure she has the best possible life. She is 9 years young and in great shape, so she should have many years of love to give. If you want a kitty but are concerned about unknown medical costs, April is a great choice for you!
April is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
