Rukus's Story...
Rukus is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. This hunk of love is great with other dogs and children and has been an indoor dog his entire life. He is house and kennel trained, knows basic commands and is very well behaved on a leash. He is fully vetted and ready to go to a new home. Rukus has been at the shelter for approximately 2 months but is finally available for adoption. Please share and let's get him out of here! Adoption fee is $130.00, call 985-651-7387 for more info on adopting.
Dog adoption is 130.00 and includes spay/neuter, heartworm testing, age appropriate vaccines including a 3 year rabies, health exam, deworming, and microchipping. Any animal 6 months or older is considered an adult. No animals are vetted until they are adopted as we do not have a vet on staff. Once the animal is adopted we make a vet appointment, and they must go to be vetted before they can go home with an adopter. Call 985.651.7387 for more information regarding adoption.

Act quickly to adopt Rukus. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rukus, a Laplace Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Laplace, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Laplace.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Laplace already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Laplace breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Laplace paves the way for another one to be saved.
