Colby is a true mixed breed, the breeds listed are truly a best-guess (Aussie/Lab). She is around 11 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. She is quite beautiful, mostly black with brown/brindle on her feet and nose. And of course some well-earned grey on her nose as well.
She came to us when her family lost their home, she had lived with them her whole life. She and her pal, Mikey the Boxer (approx age 9) came together and seem to be very bonded to each other (they've been together for 7 years). They were scared at first, but adjusted to the routine of frequent walks and the love and care of our kennel volunteers.
Colby had very long nails and is weak in her back end, but felt so much better atfter a bath and a pedi. She walks great on leash, rides wonderfully in the car, and is loving the short walks that she gets to take with her pal Mikey.
We'd love to find a senior loving home for them together in their retirement years. They are both great with other dogs and people of all ages. The family told us they were good with cats and kids too. They were in a foster home for a short time, but Colby displayed some jealousy with the other dogs there as well as some food guarding issues, so she was fed separately from the other dogs.
Both have been seen by a veterinarian, had a dental (with some extractions), had senior blood work done (all good), and vaccines were updated. They were already spayed/neutered. Colby was started on Rimadyl for arthritis. She can do a few stairs.
They are overall a very sweet pair.
A discounted senior adoption fee will apply since they are a bonded pair.
