Mikey is a handsome brindle boxer who is around 9 years old.  His tongue hangs out of his mouth in an endearing fashion, (like Mike Tyson the boxer---his namesake!).

He came to us when his family lost their home, he had lived most of his life with them.  He came to us with with his 'sister' Colby, a true mixed breed of similar size and age.  They seem to be very bonded to each other.  They were scared at first, but adjusted to the routine of frequent walks and the love and care of our kennel volunteers.

Mikey walks great on leash and likes car rides. They are both enjoying the short walks they are getting multiple times each day with the kennel volunteers.

We'd love to find a senior loving home for them together in their retirement years.  They are both great with other dogs and people of all ages.  The family told us they were good with cats and kids too.

Both have been seen by a veterinarian, had a dental (with some extractions), had senior blood work done (all good), and vaccines were updated. They were already spayed/neutered.

It seemed as though Mikey needed a refresher course in house training 101. As it turns out, Mikey was recently diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus (Water Diabetes).  It is controlled with daily injections of a synthetic hormone which is relatively inexpensive to use.  Since starting medication - Mikey is very happy, energetic and no more house training issues!

This pair is just too sweet for words.  They are dearly loved by kennel volunteers.

A discounted senior adoption fee will apply since they are a bonded pair.  Won't you consider opening your heart and home to this lovely duo!

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do many events throughout the year with our foster dogs in attendance. Please check our online calendar frequently to see where you can visit us.

Our Adoption Process...

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are $175 for Puppies; $225 for Adults; and, for Senior Dogs it will be determined on a case by case basis.
