For our first Hidden Treasure Tuesday, we'd like to re-introduce you to sweet Olivia. She's like a black sapphire, glittering brightly, but ever so modestly that you may just accidentally pass her by. Olivia has been with us for quite some time, and despite her sweet, some might even say, perfect disposition, she has been overlooked time and time again. With her sleek black fur and huge, doe-like eyes, she certainly is a looker. Though shy at first, this should not detract from her beautiful personality, as we all know that those who take a little longer to break out of their shells are sometimes the most special stars of all.
Olivia would do best in a household with only one other gentle, male cat to help her feel more comfortable, but would certainly do well as your sole companion. While she prefers to sit beside you on the couch, rather than in your lap, she really loves cuddle time and is incredibly affectionate -- she has even been known to find her foster mom in the kitchen while she's cooking, only to bring her back with a little chirrup of a meow to the sofa for sitting and snuggle times. And when Olivia does meow, it's but a peep that comes from her like a little toy's squeak. Gentle as gentle can be, Olivia never swats or nips, but prefers to purr loudly by your side. She has a specific diet that's easily followed in order to maintain her svelte figure. Olivia also comes with her special large cat tree, included with the adoption fee! It was made by her previous owner, and helps her adapt to new situations. It's her security blanket.
Olivia once had a life with a doting owner who clearly loved her very much, but her furever home dreams were dashed when her owner had to move away from the country. We would love to show Olivia that her happily ever after was only paused but for a moment in her life, and that her happy home is just around the corner. If you've missed out on this purrfect little gem, why not give her a chance? She would make anyone incredibly happy, but even more importantly, maybe you could make her the happiest little cat of all.
