Plum's Story...
Hi, I’m Plum! My brother Pickle and I came to Tenth Life when a nice man found my brother us living outside. We were all alone and too little to fend for ourselves. Luckily Tenth Life took us in! We love each other vey much and would like to go to a forever home together.

Pickle and I are very special kitties – we were both born missing parts of our back legs. We don’t let it stop us though! I get around really well and am a very good climber, although I need a home with lot of soft carpet for my nubs.

I'm a snuggly little lap cat with a loud purr and a sweet disposition. My trusting nature makes it easy for me to make friends. I'm really good at falling asleep on laps, making biscuits, and using my front paws to climb wherever I want to be!

My foster dad describes me as playful, friendly, snuggly, and laid-back. I'm just a soft, gentle, playful girl looking for my forever home with loving people that will give me the attention and lap time I need. I hope you give me a chance.

Approx. DOB 9/8/2015

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Plum, a St. Louis Calico kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Calico kitten from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
