My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The perfect personality! That's what Toby's foster mom says about him. Toby is a young (the shelter had him listed as being 1 to 2 years of age) black Lab/Collie mix.

Toby is a wonderful mixture of moderate energy and playfulness. He is never "hyper" and has never shown any aggression to the other dogs in his foster home. Toby is wonderful with cats as well. He just seems to get along with everything and everybody! He would most likely be great with children although he is still learning not to jump up on people. He is doing well with this concept except occasionally when he becomes excited and forgets.

Toby is housebroken and knows how to sit and shake. He is very intelligent and extremely easy to train. He is treat-motivated and loves to please his people, which makes learning commands very simple.

Toby came from a shelter in Kansas where he was an unclaimed stray. Although we'll never know his history, it's obvious that Toby was well-socialized as a puppy.
Toby will probably benefit from a fenced yard. He does enjoy being outside and racing from one end of the yard to the next.

Toby’s adoption fee is $250. Adopters must live within 150 miles or a 3 hour drive of the Quad City area.
