Scooby's Story...

Scooby Aka Ace is about 10 months old..Sweet boy. He is fostered with another Dane. We don't know about cats. He would probably do best with older children due to his size. He is under weight at just over 100 lbs..we has been neutered and microchipped, shots are up to date. He will be going this week to have his stomach tacked..big dogs tend to flip the tummies so we are going to be per active there. Email us for an application or go to our web page GOTGM.org and fill one out and submit..his adoption fee is $250 thank you Guardians is a rescue that pulls dogs from death row or pregnant dogs that would have no other choice but to give birth at a germy shelter. They vet them and keep them safe. We then transfer them to a foster based rescue to put up for adoption or in some case adopt them out ourself. We also make sure that they are all Spayed or neutered You can visit Guardians of the Green Mile FaceBook page for all our dogs Stories. They each have an album. Puppies are found in their moms albums.Take a look for updated pictures and sneak peek videos.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby, a Portage Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Portage, or seeking a Great Dane puppy from a breeder in Portage.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portage already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portage breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portage paves the way for another one to be saved.
