Facts about Mia

  • Breed: Chihuahua
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
She is 8-9 yrs. old, 7lbs fawn/tan. Mia gets along great with other dogs and cats; However, needs to be in a quite and calm home, She would do better in a home where she is the only dog or maybe one other dog; Her foster mom says she is an absolute doll, very sweet and lovable, loves to snuggle, real lap dog, sleeps in her little dog bed all night. She has even lost some weight. Mia is a great little dog waiting for her new home. Mia will require an experienced adopter, someone who will patient with her and understand she is very shy. She will do better in a home with no small children. Mia was an owner surrendered to a local shelter that did not have the room to keep her;So they contacted us to save/place in foster care;
Her adoption fee is (reduced) $50, She is heartworm negative, current on shots and spayed. She is being fostered in Poplarville, MS.
If you would like to give this little girl a good home, please contact AAS for an application.  We do accept PayPal. CHECK US OUT ON facebook. AAS is a approved (CFC) Combined Federal Campaign Fund Charity, CFC Code 65700.

About Animal Adoption Society, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Begun in 1994, (St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana) the AAS is a small non-profit 501(c)(3), no-kill rescue group dedicated to helping abused, abandoned, orphaned & neglected companion animals by fostering them until they can be adopted into loving homes. We began working in the Picayune/Poplarville, MS, area in late 2005, following Hurricane Katrina. Since then, we have struggled to build our rescue group back up with finding volunteers and placing the many animals in our care into forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated & receives any other medical care that may be necessary. Each animal is placed in a foster home. We do not have a facility. These services keep the animals from being unnecessarily euthanized (destroyed) and stops the over population of animals. We work strictly from donations and help of volunteers/foster homes. We are always in need of donations and volunteers/foster homes. The more volunteers & foster homes we have, the more animals we can care for.
