Got Mice? Our working cats, who aren’t suited for a living room setting, would love to spend their lives helping to manage your garage's or barn’s mice population. All they ask for in return is warm shelter, food, water and a little care. We generally have males and females ranging in age from young adults to older adults. They all are neutered or spayed and vaccinated - their adoption rates are donation based. Best of all, when you give our working cats a job, you’re saving their lives by giving them a second chance at life. Please contact us to check availability or to get your name on our wait list.

About Our Shelter...

Noah's Ark Animal Welfare Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with our mission to enhance the care and living conditions of domestic animals within the city of Trinidad and Las Animas county, with emphasis on population control, disease prevention, adoption programs, support of shelters, and the education of the community on animal care issues. We have received grants in the past for spay/neutering dogs and cats to reduce the number of homeless pet animals, and will continue to pursue available funds. Ranges from $25 to $500. \r\n\r\n*Legacy Adoptions - We provide valuable care and treatment for hundreds of animals every year. They are all important to us. Our adoption fees help offset the cost of housing, feeding and caring for companion animals in our shelter. Some pets need an extraordinary amount of medical intervention and care. We can help these pets by pricing animals in higher demand with a higher adoption fee. The money raised by these “Legacy Adoptions” will allow us to provide lifesaving medical treatment, let us work with behavioral issues and help us care for animals that stay here longer before they find loving homes.\r\nVariable adoption pricing or “Legacy” adoption pricing ensures that we can provide top quality of care for all animals.\r\n\r\nSome notes on pricing:\r\n•\tSenior Person Discount Special: Senior people over 65 years of age are eligible for a lower cost adoption of a senior animal (8 years or older).\r\n•\tWhen we run adoption specials, only one discount applies.\r\n•\tWhile we do strive to make sure our website reflects accurate pricing, we reserve the right to change prices without notice.\r\n\r\n*All animals will be altered (spayed/neutered) before leaving the shelter.
