Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Kammie! She is a very sweet senior Beagle. We were told she is 10, but she doesn't seem older than about 8 to us. She gets into playful moods once in a while, but is also content sleeping in her crate or on the couch with you. She doesn't bark a lot, unless you leave her in her crate at night. She really would prefer to sleep on the bed, under the covers with you! She also barks occasionally when people come to the door.
Kammie lives with a larger dog and several cats. She gets along fine with everyone, although the cats sometimes scare her. Kammie would be perfect for an older person needing a companion, or a family without young children. Young children could startle her, and she can be nervous if she thinks she is in harm’s way, such as a young child jumping on her.
Although she had a few “accidents” when she first arrived in her foster home, that is no longer an issue. She has adjusted to her new living situation, and was also treated for a urinary infection. Kammie does have a history of seizures, but she is not on regular medication because the seizures are very infrequent. A trigger is lots of over stimulation and excitement.
Did we say that Kammie LOVES going for walks? She does pull some on her leash, but that is corrected by using a harness when walking her. Miss Kammie has so much love and life left and certainly deserves a loving forever home in her golden years!
Kammie’s adoption fee is $125. Adopters must live within 150 miles or a 3 hour drive of the Quad City area.
For more information about Kammie, email debbie@k9kindnessrescue.org or fill out the online adoption application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org.
Kammie and K9 Kindness Rescue thank you for considering adoption through rescue for a new family companion!
