"Rory"'s Story...
Meet Rory! I am an adorable 10 month old, 16 pound neutered Border Terrier mix. My adoption fee is $575. I am very smart and have expressionistic pretty eyes. I am a happy boy that loves to run and play bigger dogs I am not so sure of but am getting used too. I am a very beautiful healthy pup! I am learning quickly about potty training. I am also crate trained, and I am low-shedding – and need to be groomed every 8 weeks to make sure that I stay handsome. I like snuggling with the other dogs at my foster home. My foster family think I am adorable. I will need a fully fenced yard, and I am hoping that I find a family that has a dog that I can be friends with. I am a young dog, with active puppy-energy and will need exercise every day. I am hiking and loving the outdoors. My foster says,I do great hiking and walking on a leash. I would enjoy a family that is active or that has a dog that I can play with to burn off energy. I would really enjoy taking obedience classes with you, as it will help us bond and continue reinforcing good manners that I am developing.
My adoption fee is $575. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt.

I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval.
Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance.
6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we “Save it forward”; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

"Rory", a Seattle Border Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Border Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Border Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
