Sissy's Story...
Pretty lil' lady Sissy is a 10 year old spayed Rat Terrier. Sissy loves people and prefers to be in your arms, but she would prefer to be the only animal in the house. She loves attention! She was brought to the shelter when her owners passed away and is hoping to find a loving forever home soon. Sissy is a shy girl at first but only takes a couple of minutes to warm up to you. She is too sweet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sissy, a Michigan City Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
