This adorable little lady is Kismet, a 9 month old border collie/husky mix that is ready to go bouncing off to a great home of her own. Kismet had a home, but was surrendered to our Newark facility when her owners could no longer care for her. She was transferred down to us and she came bopping off the transport van like she owned the place! Kismet is very outgoing and friendly, and she just loves everyone she meets. She is extremely affectionate and lovey-dovey and just wants to flop on her back and have you rub her belly. Kismet is well behaved and sits nicely when asked. She takes treats gently and even though she is high energy, she walks nicely on a leash. Kismet gets along fine with most dogs and may even be ok with cats, but because she wants to play with cats, she will need to be with an active cat that can stick up for himself. Kismet can get a bit fussy when she has to do something that she doesn't want to do, so she will need a home with no children under the age of 10. She can use some basic puppy training but she is smart and a fast learner, and she's so eager to please.
