Rusty is one happy dog. Living a life tainted with occasional "bumps in the road" he still sees the waterbowl half full. He's a pure pomeranian, supersized at about 18 pounds and just about 5 years old. He seems to have a perpetual smile and you should watch his dance of appreciation when he sees his lead. Rusty was found roaming the streets and after an exhaustive search for his owners, was adopted by the family that found him. He's a victim of a recent divorce so he once again yearns to make someone (or some family) very happy. Currently in foster with other dogs and cats - he gets along with everyone. He's gentle with children who are mutually gentle, and is friendly when meeting new people. He crates comfortably for short periods of time and would do very well with an active family, couple or person that will provide stability, car rides, plenty of sight-seeing and cuddling on the couch. Rusty is up-to-date on his vaccines and is neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Norwalk Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
