Brownie's Story...
You know what every little girl would love? To be able to pick her own name! So I was really really excited when I got to pick my very own name! I was like, “I am so sweet—like sugary sweet–and I’m this really pretty brown brindle color. So I was thinkin’—Brownie!” I mean, what’s a sweeter treat than a Brownie? And they're pretty irresistible, huh? How could I go wrong with a name like that; everyone is gonna wanna piece of me! So I’ll be sure to find a family who will give me lots of love, lots of guidance, and a little more training; we could even go to baking school together. I already know how to keep my oven (aka crate) clean, and I'm a great houseckeeper so I know to potty outside. I’m willing to share my utensils with other dogs, savvy cats that don't mind a good chase, and children 5+ will be okay by me! It looks like the only other thing this little Brownie needs is a kitchen to call her own!

3 years old-44lbs-Pit Bull/Plott Hound/Cattle Dog mix. My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
