Grandma Callie & Grandpa Scrap's Story...
They say a dog gives unconditional love…Sure, we can do that. After all, we’ve got plenty of practice…not only loving people, but loving each other for 10 whole years! In our golden age we sure have blossomed into well-balanced, easygoing companions. Other dogs are fine by us; just don’t expect us to share our love with cats. If you’re a family with gentle and respectful children, we’re all for it, so long as they are old enough to understand how to treat their elders with kindness. We’ve taken nicely to crate training, walk nicely on leash, and we’re even housetrained. We’ll love taking easy strolls around the block, or lounging in the backyard while you garden…nothing too wild and crazy, just some quality time with the ones we love. How’s that for unconditional? Well, I suppose we do have just one condition…you must love us back. 10 years old-67/65lbs. Our adoption fee is $160 and includes microchip & registration, spay/neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grandma Callie & Grandpa Scrap, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
