Maz's Story...
MAZ

“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...”, Maz was on a journey to find her forever home. She followed the path of her siblings and safely arrived in the RESCUE UNIVERSE. As she landed on the new planet Foster, Maz showed he foster humans that she is very polite, doesn’t instigate any rough-housing, but always joins in on the fun. She’s actually very princess-like.

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat, then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Maz's foster home is requiring that she be adopted with her sister, Padme, since they are truly bonded and great "play and cuddle" buddies.

If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements.

Maz’s estimated date of birth is 9/22/15. Her adoption fee of $135 includes her vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maz, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
