Luke's Story...
Luke is a handsome cropped and docked red boy who is 3-years-old and weighs 83 pounds. He was reluctantly given up by his family as they know they cannot financially care for him. We’re happy they contacted IDR+ knowing we could find him a wonderful home. Luke doesn’t really have much of a history around other animals, but seemed fine when meeting another large dog (a female Rottweiler) in the lobby of the vet. He seems to like to ride in the car and knows a few basic commands like sit and give paw. Luke will be entering his foster home and we will post more to his bio once we get to know him better. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Barrington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Barrington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Barrington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrington paves the way for another one to be saved.
