My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miley! She's a friendly 2 year old that was surrendered to Friendship because her owner was too ill to care for her. A relative brought Miley to the shelter and didn't know anything about her. She's been a great dog since her arrival. She keeps a clean cage and loves to play with toys. Miley is good on a leash and happy when staff and volunteers visit with her. Stop by to find out more about Miley. You just may be going home with your new best friend.

On March 07, 2016, Miley was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks. Prison Dogs cannot be visited during their training. All dogs return on an individual basis.

If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. You can find an app at friendshipapl.org on the Dogs and Puppies page. Hand deliver the adoption application to Friendship or call if you live a distance away to see if you can fax one in. Please DO NOT email the app.

If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321. Or email at adoptions@friendshipapl.org.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
