Olive's Story...
My name is Olive. I come from Southern Texas and I am a rescue dog. When I moved up here my foster mom took me into her home right away. It was a hard adjustment for me. Where I used to live, I was very badly abused by men. That is why I am very scared when I hear a strange man’s voice or see a strange man, But I love being around woman. I also love to be around other dogs. At my foster home, there is another dog and we play all the time with each other. I love to run around the yard with him. I am also learning to sit, stay and give paw. I also enjoy going for walks. I am looking for a home with a woman or women, who will love me and spoil me rotten.

PS: I also love to be around children and that even includes little boys!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Elmwood Park Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
