Charlie's Story...
Charlie is an alert, lively, little dog. Playful and spunky, this affectionate little dog likes to be with people and is good with other pets. He needs a daily walk. Play will take care of a lot of its exercise needs, however, as with all breeds, play will not fulfill his instinct to walk. Charlie will also enjoy a good romp in a safe, open area off lead, such as a fenced-in yard. His must be leased at all times in public areas according to township ordinance. Do not overfeed this breed or it will quickly become fat. The Shih Tzu needs all of the humans in the house to be pack leaders, with the rules of the house made consistently clear. Give this dog rules and limits as to what it is and is not allowed to do. Be its firm, stable, consistent pack leader. He will then be a well adjusted new member of your family.
Shih Tzu's do not shed if you brush them daily and keep up with grooming. Please consider giving Charlie a furever loving home today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Toms River Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Toms River, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Toms River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toms River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toms River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toms River paves the way for another one to be saved.
