Betty and Dot (They will be 2yrs old in April 2017, black and white short-coat females)

These sisters were rescued in Turkey and flown to the States to find a home together. They are tame as can be. Dot is sweet and loving. Betty loves to play and explore. They would be| ideal companions for a cat-savvy individual or couple and would likely be okay with other cats, given a proper introduction. (Young children would need to be supervised when playing with Betty and she is not what we would call dog-friendly.)

They  are up for adoption together. Betty is the one with the white nose.  Outgoing, playful and confident.  Dot is the girl with the black nose.  Observant, thoughtful and sweet. These girls have been through so much together. They are looking for a home where they can be safe and well cared for.

There is a butcher in a barber in the story somewhere who were their safety net and protected them in Turkey. When the men lost their businesses, people started trying to poison or beat the girls.

Meher Toorkey said, 'We used to call them the kabab kittens as they lived under a kabab shop where their mama destiny used to defend them with fierce devotion. I was witness to her chasing a huge dog away when he tried to harm these babies. Then the whole family was kicked out of there and lived in a ramshackle area where another businessman was good to them for a few months. he suffered a heart attack and the new owner chased them into the road, beat them with sticks and everyday was a gamble for this dear family. They made their long journey from turkey to NY and were fostered for many weeks by Denise Bednarczyk, bless her heart, who adored them and the rest is history as they say. Now safe with you in napa. A toast to our little kababs. They will never know anything but love now.'

They are official, each has their own passport. The whole extended family is going worldwide, mom is in the Netherlands and bro and sis will be calling Houston home.

About Whiskers, Tails and Ferals

About Our Rescue Group...

Whiskers, Tails and Ferals is a network of volunteers and foster families caring for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens who have been abandoned, are feral, or are facing the threat of being euthanized at an animal shelter.
All dogs and cats that come into our program are spayed or neutered, are tested for either heartworm or FeLV and possibly FIV, vaccinated, wormed (as needed) and micro-chipped.
All sick animals are immediately put under the care and supervision of a Napa veterinarian and Whiskers, Tails and Ferals pays for their medications.
The cats and kittens that are not able to be tamed, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and returned to their colonies where colony guardians continue to feed and care for them.
