Tom's Story...
Hi, my name is TOM and I am a one year old MOSTLY GRAY male cat with accents of WHITE fur in all the right places. Here’s my story: One day, I found myself outside and wandered onto a stranger’s driveway. A nice lady approached me and I jumped into her arms and quickly STOLE HER HEART. She told the kind people at Posh Pets Rescue that I am a VERY LOVING and EXTREMELY FRIENDLY cat. She added that I adore being HELD LIKE A BABY, HUGGED, and KISSED. Since she has other cats, she was pleased to report that I GET ALONG GREAT with them and enjoy PLAYING and WRESTLING too. Oh, and another fun fact about me, I’m a TALKER. To sum things up, I’m HANDSOME, have a WONDERFUL PERSONALITY, and I’m a LOVER, Not a FIGHTER. Arrange to meet me and see for yourself! I am neutered, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

To meet me, fill out the CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tom, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
