Say hello to Tiny!

I'm Tiny, well yes I am a little girl at 35 pounds but Tiny is my name. I'm about 3 yrs old. I used to live...well survive from the kindness of strangers. You see, I was chained in a back yard and didn't have anything to keep the sun or rain off me. I didn't have anything to eat. My tummy hurt so much and I would cry, I cried all night from hunger. There was a nice family next door, that lived behind a big fence, they heard my cries and started tossing food over the fence for me. Then they must have sneeked a look at me and saw how skinny I was because they called someone and next thing I knew some wonderful ladies were there taking me to a place that was warm, dry and had plenty of food for me to eat. They gave me lots of love there too. I know now that heros, really do exist. As you can tell I'm part chow but what you don't know is I am part beagle also. Chows are great dogs, they are quiet, clean, beautiful, loving, loyal, smart and have awesome purple tongues, I get all that from my chow side and I get even more smarts and my 'I love everyone, even other dogs' personality from my beagle side. You really just can't go wrong with a sweet cutie pie like me. If you'd like to adopt me and spend the afternoons taking some nature walks or just hanging out in the yard, that would be great.

**An application and home visit are required. Transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes. Please ask us for more information if you are not in Tennessee**

**All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.**

Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!

About Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is an organization that is dedicated to saving animals in rural areas, mainly in 'pounds' and shelters, both high-kill and no-kill. There tends to be a higher overpopulation rate in rural areas due to lack of animal ordinances and alteration to prevent unwanted litters. Many animals are 'dumped' on country roads left to parish or end up at the local pound or animal shelter if they have an empty kennel. Many of these animals have a limited number of days before they are euthanized. In addition to placing animals in foster and adoptive homes, networking with rescues to assist in placement and adoption of animals, RARE also performs fundraisers for spay/neuters and other vetting to prevent further overpopulation and promote quality of life for the animals we save.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees cover all vetting for the animals in our care, including vaccinations, Heart-worm test, Heart-worm treatment if needed, Feline Leukemia test, spay/neuter and may vary, depending on species.

Fosters and Adopters will be required to complete an application with personal and Veterinary references. A home visit is also required.
RESCUES, please contact us regarding pull information or pull fee, if any, depending on vetting already provided by RARE.
