My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Jazzy.

I am a medium sized girl at 35 pounds and about 3 yrs old. I am currently in foster care and have a blast with my pal Rocko, another rescue dog like me. I originally came from a shelter in Greenfield, TN. I had been at a home with my mom and the humans that had "owned" us were not kind. However, I hardly have any memory of that now because I am having a "big" time with my foster mom and dog friends. I am very excited to think about finding my furever home. I have been around children and some I've really liked and others I have been a little scared of. I do better in all situations with my pal Rocko or most any other dog. They tend to give me confidence and remind me that there are so many good people!

They tell me that once I find that perfect family, I will be with them until the end of my days and all I have to do is show them how much I love them! Well, I can certainly do that!

My adoption fee is $125.00.
I am spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and kept on heartworm preventative.

An application and home visit are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc.. An adoption trial may commence at that time, if RARE and potential adopter(s) are in agreement. Please complete the application on our website www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org and we will call you to explain the adoption process in more detail and answer any questions you may have.

*If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 4 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home.

**All of our pets are, or will be, spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption.
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
