Lainey is a three year old purebred Aussie whose family no longer had the time her in South Carolina. We will be certain that this little sweetheart has the warm and loving (inside) forever home she deserves! She is a bit reserved when you first meet her, but once she gets to know you she is your friend for life. Once friends, she will lick you and watch your every move. She does fine with other dogs but if you know Aussies, what she really wants is a person of her very own. She will attach very quickly and promises unconditional love. Lainey is super smart and very affectionate. You might call her a lap dog! Australian Shepherds tend to have 'velcro' personalities so if company all over the house is a bit too much for you, Aussies are not your dog. While she enjoys playing and being outside in a fenced in yard, she is not hyper. Lainey will enjoy long walks and could be trained to do agility if that's something you would like her to do. She is very alert and sensitive to sounds so a young child would startle her waaay too much. She'll be fine with older, calmer kids. She does not like an electric fence and this will not work for her at all. Lainey should have a home with an experienced Aussie owner. Lainey weighs about 50 lbs.
