My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Up for adoption: Meet Cooper!

Cooper can be adopted in Texas.

Cooper's foster mom is a dog trainer, so BONUS, if you adopt this boy, he will have had some training. She tells us Cooper is a happy, outgoing, smart, loving boy who can't wait to have his own family to bond with. Cooper is a little bit of a Velcro dog, always wanting to be near you. His happiest place is next to you or at your feet. He loves all people and likes other dogs, but when he's in puppy play mode his size can make him a bit much for really small dogs. Most of the time he's a pretty chill guy, content to chew on a toy or nap at your feet but you don't need to ask twice when you're ready to play or take a walk.

Cooper has done really well with his house training, he's learned to use the doggy doors and has also learned "sit" and is working on holding it ( because sit means sit!) and has made strides with nice leash walking. He doesn't pull at all and responds quickly to minimal correction ( just stop) when he starts walking ahead. Cooper is not a barker, although he will complain for a while if he has to sleep in his own room. He'd love to be able to sleep in his person's room, even in a crate.

This youngster wants to please and is a fast learner. He's also a natural retriever, so if playing fetch is your thing, or you wanted dog you can train to bring you stuff, Cooper is your boy. He's good with people and other dogs.

He is about 10 months old, weighs 45 lbs and was a shelter favorite. He's neutered, fully vaccinated and HW negative. He's crate and house trained too !
