My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pending -

My name is Blizzard. I am a red n white male cocker boy. A Good Samaritan found me, alone, cold and just wondering around in this first snow storm of 2016 to hit NC. She put me into her car, took me home to get warm and cleaned me up. I couldn't stop shivering from being so cold, I was caked in snow, dirty and I couldn't feel my feet, they were frozen. No telling how long I had been this cold and out in the elements. She was nice to me, helped me to feel more comfortable and gave me several bathes so that I would feel better. She tried to find my owner, but no one was looking for me. She noticed that I am not neutered, one eye looked like It might be blind and I have a cherry eye that was never fixed in my good eye. A friend of hers stepped in to help, and she contacted these nice folks to get me the vet care that I deserve. Transport was quickly arranged to pick me up.

At the rescue vet, they learned that I am heartworm positive and would need treatment to get well. I am crypt orchid will need to be neutered, my cherry eye needs to be tacked, and I am indeed blind in my one eye because my owner did not get me the eye care I needed to avoid being completely blind. I needed a dental and I had to have some extractions done. I am so happy to be with these nice folks who are taking care of me and helping me to feel like someone really cares about me. Please be one of my Angel Sponsors and donate to this rescue to help with the costs of my care. Thank you for your kindness to get me well. They have now put me on eye medicine to help me feel better.

All donations of any amount can be sent to Charlotte Cocker Rescue: P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Or, you can pay by Paypal or directly to our rescue vet: Cabarrus Animal Hospital, 704-786-6102 tell them you would like to make a donation to Donna Carpenter's rescue account for
Blizzard to help with his care.
