Caliote's Story...
Cali is learning so many things. She is now potty and crate trained. Caliote is learning basic commands like sit and off. She is a very sweet soul. Hungry for love and affection, this sweet girl is pure joy.

Cali seems to enjoy the feeling of being inside a warm house. We are focusing on a healthy diet to which has helped with the yeast infection she came to us with. She is now growing in a healthy coat and has gained some much needed weight. Cali deserves a loving family to call her own. She is being fostered with 2 other GSDs (male and female), a teenager and cats!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caliote, a Alameda German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Alameda, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Alameda.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alameda already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alameda breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alameda paves the way for another one to be saved.
