Trey's Story...
~Hi~ My name is Trey and I am a 1-3 year old Lab & Blood Hound Mix. I am currently learning basic obedience with the Puppies for Parole Program in Cameron MO. I have lots of energy so I am still working on the training but I know how to sit, lay down, shake, wait for treats andknow recall and stay. I really like to play so sometimes I am stubborn. I do good on leash walking but the owners need to learn to walk a little faster otherwise my nose gets the best of me and I am off to see what that smell was. I am so curious and what to see what is beyond my leash. I love to go out and play with other dogs or just run around. I like to play with toys with other dogs and I really like to play fetch with people. I am still learning that I am a big dog and sometimes I get my legs tangled up...but people usually just laugh and I keep on running. I am house broken and kennel trained. I am ready to go and play at my forever home with a family that will love me no matter how clumsy I am sometimes!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trey, a Cameron Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound for sale in Cameron, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Cameron.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cameron already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cameron breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cameron paves the way for another one to be saved.
